Let's Talk Waste Conference

In March 2009, the New Waste Act (No. 59 of 2008) was passed in South Africa, which led to
the development of The Waste Trade Company's “Let's Talk Waste” Conference.  The aim of the conference was to educate businesses on the new act and the impact that it will have on the way they all do business.

The “Lets Talk Waste” conference was held at The Boardwalk Tsitsikamme Conference centre on 30 June 2009 and hosted exhibitions stands by Veolia, Wasteman, Xtreme Projects and others in the industry.   Obed Balayi (DEAT), Lulama Macanda (DEDEA) and Deidre Nxumalo-Freeman (DNF Waste & Environmental Services) were the guest speakers, whilst Roland Gaspar was the MC for the event.  The event enjoyed an attendance of 300.
Look out for our next conference!
